Who am I?

I am Scott and I am Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist

What I believe

I fundamentally believe that all of us have the ability to change to become the best version of ourselves, whatever that may be. Each of us is beautifully unique and I embrace that uniqueness. I believe that true change occurs when people are offered a relationship that is different to what they have experienced before. This is why I offer my clients a relationship based on empathy, understanding and that is non-judgmental, where they can explore their feelings and experiences safely and where we face them together. I am trained to integrate different theories of psychotherapy so that my clients and myself can gain a greater insight into what they have experienced and what is going on in the present moment.

Qualifications and Experience

I have completed a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham. I have complete over 300 hours of client work, working for Cedar Counselling in Birmingham and I am also one of their client assessors.
